A 2-3 Redskins squad plays a 2-3 Cowboys squad. Besides classic Cane WR Michael Irvin, Herschel Walker and Kelvin Martin, "Americas team" the Cowboys were terrible only finishing 3-13 this year, while the Redskins would finish a respectable, but disappointing on 80s Redskins standards 7-9 record, having pro bowler Charles Mann and young QB Mark Rypien, as QB star Doug Williams age finally got to him.
